COVID-19 Test Options

RT-PCR Test - $135
(used for travel or work)

Will detect the genetic material of the virus.

The results are either positive or negative for the live virus.

A swab of the nasal cavity is sent to a laboratory for testing.

Results in 48-72 hours.

Results are 98.9% accurate

When should PCR test be done?

People who have symptoms of COVID-19.

Travel destinations that require a negative PCR test.

People who need a negative PCR to return to work.

People who have been exposed to someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Test - $85

Will detect the live virus antigen within the body.

The results are either positive or negative.

The test is a nasal swab specimen.

Results are ready in 15 minutes.

Results are 98% accurate.

When should a rapid antigen test be done?

 If a person has come in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 and it has been no more than 5 days.

A person who is in the early stages of infection.. within the first five days of the onset symptoms. Tests collected after day 5 of the illness are more likely to be negative.

 

Rapid COVID-19 Antibody Test - $75

The test is a simple fingerstick test that uses just one drop of blood to test for antibodies.

The results are ready in 10 minutes.

The results are 95-98% accurate.

When should a rapid antibody test be done?

If a person has been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and it has been more than 5-7 days.

If a person has COVID-19 symptoms for more than 5-7 days.

People who were sick in the past and want to know if they have COVID-19 antibodies.
