Pensacola, FL – The Pensacola Chamber of Commerce named ProHealth as “Small Business of the Month” during the Gopher Club Breakfast held at New World Landing on Tuesday, April 2nd. Mother-daughter team, Vivian and Danette Krumel accepted the award together.
ProHealth, formerly known as Professional Health Examiners, is a locally-owned occupational testing company that was started by Vivian Krumel 27 years ago. ProHealth specializes in providing Northwest Florida with affordable health services, and offers low-cost lab work for people without health insurance or those who have high deductibles. Other services include DNA paternity testing, adult, travel and flu immunizations, occupational, drug and alcohol testing, respirator fit testing, DOT and employment physicals, tuberculosis screenings, and health fairs. Walk-ins are welcome for most services.
When Vivian’s daughters, Danette Krumel and Debbie DuFour, saw a need for their ProHealth patients to also have access to healthcare professionals at a reasonable rate, ProHealth Medical Care was born. They opened the first location on 12th Avenue in December of 2010, and their second and third locations in Milton and Gulf Breeze in 2012. Many of ProHealth Medical Care’s patients do not have health insurance. Others have high deductibles. Some even have health insurance, but simply enjoy the minimal wait time, quality care, and convenience that ProHealth Medical Care has to offer.
